I am Leela Lamont – mother to two little girls, Alba and Eadie, and wife to a cryptocurrency-chasing husband, Alistair.
Leaving our expat lives in Singapore behind us, we spent the first half of 2019 trying out what turned out to be a rather wonderful life in the South of France.
I now write from my kitchen table in Kent, reminiscing on our Gaelic adventure and plotting a strategy to return with enough money to buy my ‘must have’ vineyard and make an award winning rosé (could crypto be the answer?)
While I was in France, I used this blog to recount our journey as we attempted to learn French, explore ways we might be lucky enough to make the area our home long-term and, more importantly, drill some French-style discipline into my wayward daughter.
Now I’ve slipped back into good old Anglophone parenting, I look back and realise I must work on my grand yeux, and re-introduce the word of our trip – ATTENDE!
